Nagpur is an emerging city and the second capital of the Maharashtra State. It has been cited as one of the future global cities and is also a political centre of the state. The existing town hall conducts its monthly assembly sessions. The design proposal for the town hall relocates itself is oriented towards the heritage structure present on the site which showcases the rich history of the city. This rearrangement allows for the heritage structure to be opened for public, creating a public plaza around it. The town hall is divided into two wings for each political party respectively allowing easy circulation and zoning. The capacity of the town hall is approximately for 250 people.
