Divisional Commissioner Central Administrative Building

The project is awarded to us as part of a design competition formulated by Public Works Region, Amravati.

The site is located within a bureaucratic context with the sales tax building adjoining it. Surrounded by road on two sides of the building, the primary intent of the design was to create an easy approach for the public and to be climate friendly.

The proposed design is energy efficient taking into consideration the hot anddry climate. The entire unit which is meant to house various departments, is divided into 4 units interconnected.

This creates a micro-climate within the units, thus creating a natural shading device for the offices. The façade of the building is proposed as a double wall with terracotta jaali, which too eventually works in the overall cooling of the building.
